About Heybridge Basin. The Basin attracts a mix of visiting boats and long term moorers. Visitors are always welcome at Heybridge Basin. However, during the summer months it is very busy, so please book in advance to reserve a berth. Shower, toilet facilities and electric hook-up are available. See information for boaters.

Heybridge Basin is a small village just outside of Maldon. It's a great place to sit and watch the boats go by along the River Blackwater. You'll find a small pay and display car park, a couple of pubs with beer gardens: The Old Ship and The Jolly Sailor next to the lock, and The Lock Tearoom (one of the Tiptree 'Wilkon & Sons' franchise).
